Shortcrust Pastry
Ingredients
All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup
salt - 1/2 tsp
sugar - 1/4 cup
Chilled unsalted butter (cubed) - 1/2 cup (1 stick)
Heavy cream - 2 tbsp
Egg (lightly beaten) -1
Steps
Step 1 : Whisk flour , salt and sugar together in a large bow. Add cubed butter and lightly rub using finger tips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs with pieces of size of pea.
Step 2: Add Egg and mix till it combines
Step 3 : Add cream and mix till dough is firm enough to form a ball. The dough should be a little crumbly
